Suspended Time
In an era defined by acceleration and constant connectivity, are we still able to pause?
We are pleased to announce an open call for Suspended Time, a group exhibition exploring the experience of suspended temporality in contemporary life.
As urban environments increasingly measure time through productivity, efficiency, and visibility, moments of stillness become rare. Suspension — whether through delay, repetition, waiting, or emotional stillness — offers an alternative rhythm that challenges the pace of modern life.
Artists throughout history have explored the elasticity of time through image, movement, and material. Photography freezes a moment, moving image stretches duration, and installation creates spaces where time becomes perceptible and embodied.
This exhibition invites artists working across disciplines to explore how time can be felt, extended, interrupted, or held within artistic practice.
Exhibition Platform
The exhibition will take place at Espacio Gallery, London — an established contemporary art space located in the heart of Shoreditch’s creative district.
Hosting the exhibition within Espacio Gallery situates participating artists within London’s active art network and provides an opportunity to present work within a professional gallery environment.
